Conceptual Graphs Based Information Retrieval in HealthAgents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This paper focuses on the problem of representing, in a meaningful way, the knowledge involved in the HealthAgents project. Our work is motivated by the complexity of representing Electronic Health-care Records in a consistent manner.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Left Ventricle Motion Estimation in Cine MRI With Multilayer Iterative Deformable Graph Matching

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Quantifying regional myocardial motion and deformation from cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays an important role in clinical applications. In this paper, we present a novel approach for the estimation of left ventricle myocardial motion based

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
