Role of Histidine‐Containing Peptoids in Accelerating the Kinetics of Calcite Growth
Amphiphilic histidine‐containing peptoids mimic carbonic anhydrase (CA) to accelerate calcite step growth. In the presence of Zn2+, they promote the deprotonation of HCO3−, the desolvation of Ca2+, and the reorganization of interfacial hydration layers, thereby reducing the activation barrier for calcite growth.

Small-strain stiffness of liquefiable sands: A comparison between bender elements and resonant-column tests [PDF]
Soil stiffness can be estimated by geophysical and dynamic testing methods. In the laboratory, the most common methods to measure the small-strain stiffness are the bender elements (BE) and resonant-column (RC) tests. This paper focuses on the comparison

Resonant Clumping and Substructure in Galactic Discs
We describe a method to extract resonant orbits from N-body simulations exploiting the fact that they close in a frame rotating with a constant pattern speed. Our method is applied to the N-body simulation of the Milky Way by Shen et al. (2010).

This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high

Plasma Micro-Cavity of Terahertz Wave During Laser Filamentation
In this work, we focused on the resonant cavity effect of the air plasma, formed during femtosecond laser filamentation, on the near- and far-field profiles of the generated terahertz (THz) radiation.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

LICOR-Liquid Columns' Resonances
The aim of the experiment LICOR was the investigation of the axial resonances oi cylindrical liquid columns supported by equal circular coaxiaJ disks. In preparation ot the D-2 experiment a •heoreiical model has been developed, which exactly describes the small amplitude oscillations of finite cylindrical columns between coaxial circular disks.

High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐
