Generic perturbations of linear integrable Hamiltonian systems [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate perturbations of linear integrable Hamiltonian systems, with the aim of establishing results in the spirit of the KAM theorem (preservation of invariant tori), the Nekhoroshev theorem (stability of the action variables for a

Surface Resistance Imaging with a Scanning Near-Field Microwave Microscope
We describe near-field imaging of sample sheet resistance via frequency shifts in a resonant coaxial scanning microwave microscope. The frequency shifts are related to local sample properties, such as surface resistance and dielectric constant.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Terahertz spectroscopy is a powerful tool for investigating the properties and states of biological matter. Here, a systematic investigation of the interaction of THz wave with “bright mode” resonators and “dark mode” resonators has been conducted, and a

ABSTRACT Background The management of clinically apparent single lesions or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis, a facultative precursor of nephroblastoma, remains debated. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 37 patients with clinically apparent single or oligofocal nephroblastomatosis (two to three lesions per kidney) among 2347 patients registered between

Tunable Elliptical Split Ring Resonator Using Single Varactor Diode
In this paper, the effect of changing the structure of split ring resonator SRR from circular to elliptical shape is presented and tested. The theoretical analysis of circular SRR (CSRR) is tested and its results are compared with the simulated ones ...

Effects of Electro-Magnetic Properties of Obstacles in Magnetic Resonant Wireless Power Transfer
Magnetic resonant wireless power transmission (MRWPT) is a method of transmitting power over a long distance at a specific frequency. Because this system uses an alternating magnetic field, if an object with electrical/magnetic properties is placed ...

Multi-qubit gate with trapped ions for microwave and laser-based implementation [PDF]
A proposal for a phase gate and a Mølmer–Sørensen gate in the dressed state basis is presented. In order to perform the multi-qubit interaction, a strong magnetic field gradient is required to couple the phonon-bus to the qubit states.

Loss of superfluidity in a Bose-Einstein condensate via forced resonant oscillations
We predict the loss of superfluidity in a Bose-Einstein condensate in an axially symmetric harmonic trap alone during resonant collective oscillations via a classical dynamical transition.

SRRs Embedded with MEMS Cantilevers to Enable Electrostatic Tuning of the Resonant Frequency [PDF]
A microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) cantilever array was monolithically fabricated in the gap region of a split ring resonator (SRR) to enable electrostatic tuning of the resonant frequency. The design consisted of two concentric SRRs each with a set
