Regulating entanglement production in multitrap Bose-Einstein condensates
A system of traps is considered, each containing a large number of Bose-condensed atoms. This ensemble of traps is subject to the action of an external modulating field generating nonequilibrium nonground-state condensates.

Resonance beyond frequency-matching: multidimensional resonance
Resonance, conventionally defined as the oscillation of a system when the temporal frequency of an external stimulus matches a natural frequency of the system, is important in both fundamental physics and applied disciplines. However, the spatial character of oscillation is not considered in this definition.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Resonant switch model of twin peak HF QPOs applied to the atoll source 4U 1636-53
We present a Resonant Switch (RS) model of twin peak high-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (HF QPOs), assuming switch of twin oscillations at a resonant point, where frequencies of the upper and lower oscillations $\nu_U$ and $\nu_L$ become to be ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Gap Coupled Dual-Band Petal Shape Patch Antenna for WLAN / WiMAX Applications
A compact gap coupled dual-band patch antenna is proposed for WLAN and WiMAX applications. Two resonating frequencies at 3.6GHz and 5.2GHz with a frequency ratio of 1.40 (theoretical), 1.45 (simulated) and 1.48 (measured) are observed.
