Isovalent substitution of Ir^{4+} with Sn^{4+} in perovskite SrIrO_{3} induces a metal-insulator transition accompanied with strong antiferromagnetic ordering. We performed resonant x-ray scattering to investigate the magnetism in SrIr_{0.8}Sn_{0.2}O_{3}.

How Proton Incorporation Reshapes Lattice Dynamics In BaSnO3‐Type Proton Conductors
Yttrium‐doped BaSnO3 exhibits isotope‐dependent changes in its low‐energy vibrational density of states upon hydration. Comparison of dry, H2O‐, and D2O‐treated samples re‐veals mass‐dependent phonon renormalization linked to proton dynamics near oxygen va‐cancies, providing experimental insight into hydrogen‐coupled lattice excitations in proton ...

In this work, we establish a direct correlation between internal compactness and particle architectural stability, identifying it as a key descriptor of cathode structural integrity. Simultaneously, the capacity contribution and compensation mechanism of ARR are resolved, revealing that the extent of irreversible capacity loss is governed by both the ...

An exciting Approach to Theoretical Spectroscopy
ABSTRACT Theoretical spectroscopy, and more generally, electronic‐structure theory, are powerful concepts for describing the complex many‐body interactions in materials. They cover methods from ground‐state properties to lattice excitations and light‐matter interaction, including time‐resolved variants.

Origin of Ising magnetism in Ca3Co2O6 unveiled by orbital imaging
Ca$${}_{3}$$ 3 Co$${}_{2}$$ 2 O$${}_{6}$$ 6 has an unconventional magnetic structure displaying quantum tunnelling phenomena in its magnetization. Here, the authors use s-core-level non-resonant inelastic X-ray scattering to image the atomic Co 3d ...

A regenerative molecular sensing platform that co‐localizes surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensing and nanocavitation‐based actuation. Femtosecond‐laser triggered nanocavitation produces thermomechanical forces to locally regenerate SERS‐active nanogaps in protein‐rich biofluids while preserving optical performance.

Fate of charge order in overdoped La-based cuprates
In high-temperature cuprate superconductors, stripe order refers broadly to a coupled spin and charge modulation with a commensuration of eight and four lattice units, respectively.

Halide Perovskite: A Rich Source of Thermal Insulator
Halide perovskites exhibit ultralow thermal conductivity driven by intrinsic lattice softness and strong anharmonicity, falling below conventional defect‐engineering limits. Weak metavalent bonding, A‐site rattling, and dynamic octahedral tilting drive phonon scattering to the Ioffe–Regel limit, where wave‐like tunneling replaces particle‐like ...

Emergent 3D Fermiology and Magnetism in an Intercalated Van der Waals System
An emergent three‐dimensional electronic state is uncovered in an intercalated van der Waals system. A spin‐polarized intercalant‐host hybridized band crossing the Fermi level provides an itinerant channel for interlayer exchange, highlighting how electronic dispersion governs magnetic dimensionality.
