On the tracking of resonance and antiresonance of a piezoelectric resonator

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1991
A quantitative analysis of the tracking of the zero-phase resonance frequency, f(r), and antiresonance frequency, f(a), of a piezoelectric resonator reported previously by the author (1990) is presented. Integral and integrodifferential equations for the system angular frequency omega( t) are derived, and numerical calculations are carried out for a ...

Cavity- and waveguide-resonators in electron paramagnetic resonance, nuclear magnetic resonance, and magnetic resonance imaging

Progress in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, 2014
Cavity resonators are widely used in electron paramagnetic resonance, very high field magnetic resonance microimaging and also in high field human imaging. The basic principles and designs of different forms of cavity resonators including rectangular, cylindrical, re-entrant, cavity magnetrons, toroidal cavities and dielectric resonators are reviewed ...

Resonant frequency of dielectric resonator

Proceedings RAWCON 98. 1998 IEEE Radio and Wireless Conference (Cat. No.98EX194), 2002
In this paper, an effective dielectric constant (EDC) has been introduced in an axial attenuation constant of dielectric waveguide model (DWM) method to calculate more accurately the resonant frequency of the TE/sub 01/spl delta// mode of a dielectric resonator (DR) in an MIC environment.

On Resonant tunneling

Surface Science Letters, 1982
Abstract Localized electron states in oxides adjacent to metals hybridize with conduction electron states forming interface states, which at the localized site have an amplitude resonantly enhanced over the amplitude of the conduction electron states.

Anti-Resonance — Velocity Resonance

Mekhatronika, Avtomatizatsiya, Upravlenie, 2019
The task of the study is to establish the nature of mechanical resonance, namely, it is a resonance of forces or speeds. Two definitions are introduced. Definition 1. Resonance of forces is a resonance arising at a frequency ω = (k/m)0,5 in a mechanical system including an inert body and an elastic element, at which the reactive forces developed by ...

Resonances of a "Pillbox" Dielectric Resonator

1978 8th European Microwave Conference, 1978
Resonant frequency, quality factor and field plots are discussed for a circular-cylindrical dielectric resonator. These quantities are calculated in the limit ?r ??. The method is a perturbation technique based on an expansion in the (small) parameter (1/??r).

Primary resonance of piezoelectric resonators

1996 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings, 2002
It is found that the nonlinear behavior of piezoelectric resonators is more complicated than that predicted by previous theories. Actually the resonators work as parametrically excited vibration systems. Mode-coupled equations are obtained by means of the boundary integration. The method of multiple scales is used to solve the equations.

Resonances in scattering by a resonator

Let \(\Omega\) be an exterior of a bounded domain. The self-adjoint operator \(H=-\Delta\) with Dirichlet boundary conditions on \(\partial \Omega\) is studied in \(L^ 2(\Omega)\). A resonance \(\phi\in L^ 2(\Omega)\) is defined as a vector which is concentrated in some bounded domain \(B\subset \Omega\) and such that the spectral measure \((E_ H ...

Parametric resonance

Computing in Science & Engineering, 1999
Computer simulation experiments are especially good tools for helping students understand basic principles of physics. In this a, I have developed a package of simulation programs called Physics of Oscillations. One of its programs is suited for examining the phenomenon of paramagnetic resonance in a linear system.
