Improving Light Outcoupling and Addressing Measurement Specifics in Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Light Management Foils

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
The necessity and feasibility of enhancing light outcoupling in perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) is highlighted. On near‐IR PeLEDs, low‐cost, micro‐textured light management (LM) foils demonstrate boost in light extraction. Optimizing perovskite thickness and the optical cavity in synergy with LM foils is crucial for maximizing performance ...

Hydroxyapatite Binding Peptide Lipid Nanoparticles for Biomimetic mRNA Delivery to Bone

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Targeted delivery of therapeutic mRNA to peripheral tissues, including bone, is currently challenging. In the current work, a hydroxyapatite binding peptide (HABP) is conjugated to mRNA lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). HABP‐LNPs delivered systemically are demonstrated to reduce transfection in the liver and improve transfection in the femurs of mice ...

Aggregation in carbon dots

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 3, Issue 6, December 2022., 2022
Carbon dots (CDs) has excellent photoluminescence properties. Aggregation plays an important role in both the formation of CDs and their fluorescence, yet is seldom studied in detail. This review aims to fill this knowledge gap. We first discuss how aggregation leads to the formation of different types of CDs, and the impact on morphology, luminescence,

Accelerated Bone Healing via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrical stimulation significantly impacts bone healing by enhancing osteoblast proliferation, differentiation, and vascularization through calmodulin/calcineurin/NFAT signaling. It also boosts macrophage function and cell migration, presenting a comprehensive approach to accelerating bone repair.

Targeting Decidual CD16+ Immune Cells with Exosome‐Based Glucocorticoid Nanoparticles for Miscarriage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosome‐based nanoparticles (GC‐Exo‐CD16Ab) are designed to deliver glucocorticoids (GC) specifically to decidual CD16+ NK cells and macrophages. This targeted delivery effectively suppresses the cytotoxicity of decidual NK cells, inhibits M1 macrophage polarization, and modulates the decidual microenvironment.

Resorption in Endodontics

open access: yes, 2023
Root resorption (RR) refers to noninfectious damage related to the loss of hard and soft dental tissue that results from clastic cell activity. It is observed as a pathologic process that is predominantly asymptomatic in the permanent dentition and physiological during the shedding of primary teeth.

Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.

Electrochemically‐Switched 2nd Order Non‐Linear Optical Response in an Arylimido‐Polyoxometalate with High Contrast and Cyclability

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 135, Issue 5, January 26, 2023., 2023
Charge transfer transitions in a new arylimido‐polyoxometalate (POM) are turned off by reduction, enabling a high contrast (94 %) electrochemically switched 2nd order non‐linear optical (NLO) response. The overall combination of on/off contrast, high visible transparency and multicycle stability is leading in switchable 2nd order NLO chromophores, and ...
