Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Diagnostic significance of HRCT imaging features in adult mycoplasma pneumonia: a retrospective study

open access: yesScientific Reports
Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) often overlaps with the clinical manifestations and chest imaging manifestations of other types of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).

A Review of Drug Therapy of Lung Cancer with Interstitial Lung Disease

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2020
Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a risk factor for lung cancer. Patients with lung cancer associated with ILD (LC-ILD) often appear clinically. During the treatment of LC-ILD, there is a risk of causing acute exacerbation or even death in the treatment

Respiration rate during a stress task moderates neuroticism and perceived stress in older adults

open access: yes, 2022
Background Research suggests that respiration rate is related to psychological factors such as neuroticism and perceived stress in addi-tion to physiological factors.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Interaction of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interferon-gamma with bronchial phagocytic cells in non-allergic bronchial asthma patients

open access: yesСибирский научный медицинский журнал
The contribution of immunoregulatory cytokines to the formation of cold airway hyperresponsiveness in asthma patients is important for understanding approaches to therapy. Aim of the study was to investigate the interaction of tumor necrosis factor-alpha

From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Immunological Approaches Towards Cancer and Inflammation: A Cross Talk

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
The inflammation is the protective response of the body against various harmful stimuli; however, the aberrant and inappropriate activation tends to become harmful. The acute inflammatory response tends to resolved once the offending agent is subside but
