Some frequency domain considerations upon human respiratory mechanics [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to present a brief analysis of recent results considering human respiratory mechanics. The final purpose of the investigation is to provide a fast method for identification of airway mechanics, in order to assist the medical ...

Respiratory parameter estimation using forced oscillatory impedance data
The frequency dependency of the magnitude and phase angle of total respiratory impedance was measured in apneic dogs at functional residual capacity during forced oscillation by a special electronics unit. Regression analysis of these data yielded estimates of total respiratory resistance (RFO), inertance (IFO), and compliance (CFO).

Emerging strategies to target metastasis and therapy resistance in melanoma
Emerging studies propose new approaches to interfere with melanoma progression. In recognition of melanoma awareness month, at Molecular Oncology, we highlight recently published research articles, focusing on novel therapeutic targets driving metastatic spread and outlining different strategies to overcome resistance to BRAF inhibitors and anti‐PD‐1 ...

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

An application of pacemaker respiratory monitoring system for the prediction of heart failure
Sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is one of the most common complications among heart failure (HF) patients. Changes of respiratory patterns during the various stages in patients with HF have not been fully investigated.

Comparison of electrode impedances of Pt, PtIr (10% Ir) and Ir-AIROF electrodes used in electrophysiological experiments [PDF]
In tissue impedance measurements with the 4-electrode assembly, unexpected difficulties may occur because a combination of electrode impedance and stray capacitance in the array of four electrodes, can lead to serious measuring failures in the low ...
