Hepatocyte BDNF Acts as a Novel Immune Checkpoint to Restrain TLR4‐Mediated Acute Hepatitis
This study identifies hepatocyte‐derived BDNF as an endogenous TLR4 antagonist that alleviates acute hepatitis. BDNF is downregulated in hepatocytes via REST‐mediated transcriptional repression during ALI/ALF. Mechanistically, BDNF binds to TLR4 on macrophages to suppress inflammation.

A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.

Respiratory mechanics in mechanically ventilated patients with respiratory failure
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1985In 11 mechanically ventilated patients, respiratory mechanics were measured 1) during constant flow inflation and 2) following end-inflation airway occlusion, as proposed in model analysis (J. Appl. Physiol. 58: 1840–1848, 1985. During the latter part of inflation, the relationship between driving pressure and lung volume change was linear, allowing ...
