Towards Generalizable Drowsiness Monitoring with Physiological Sensors: A Preliminary Study [PDF]
Accurately detecting drowsiness is vital to driving safety. Among all measures, physiological-signal-based drowsiness monitoring can be more privacy-preserving than a camera-based approach. However, conflicts exist regarding how physiological metrics are associated with different drowsiness labels across datasets.

Dipyridamole Acts as Clinical Ferroptosis Inhibitor to Prevent from Tissue Injury
Dipyridamole acts as a clinically used compound to suppress ferroptosis. Dipyridamole down‐regulates the expression of RNF126, which is an E3 ligase to ubiquitinate SLC7A11 for proteasome degradation. The deficiency of SLC7A11 largely abolishes the protective role of dipyridamole both in vitro and in vivo.

Tailored 3D Lattice Microstructures for Enhanced Functionality in Blood‐Gas Exchange
Common hollow fiber structures are associated with inhomogeneous flow, leading to many complications in the medical application of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Using locally adapted lattice structures, the overall flow distribution can be manipulated.

A dual‐modal wearable pulse detection system is developed for sleep apnea monitoring by integrating a self‐powered PENG and PPG sensor with a biomimetic fingertip structure. Through a two‐stage detection strategy, continuous PPW monitoring and on‐demand PPG detection achieve high‐accuracy sleep apnea recognition while maintaining low power consumption.

Through a comprehensive multi‐omics analysis, this study identifies a marked reduction in Nephronectin (NPNT) expression within fibrotic lung tissue. This reduction impairs the binding capability to the ITGA3 receptor, consequently causing YAP1 to persist in the cytoplasm, where it undergoes degradation.

A Touch Enabled Hemodynamic and Metabolic Monitor
This work presents a touch‐based hybrid platform for simultaneous monitoring of vital signs and sweat metabolites. With a simple tri‐finger touch of 4–6 min, users can concurrently get to know their glucose, uric acid, cortisol levels from fingertip sweat, along with blood pressure and heart rate.

Reconstructing physiological signals from fMRI across the adult lifespan [PDF]
Interactions between the brain and body are of fundamental importance for human behavior and health. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) captures whole-brain activity noninvasively, and modeling how fMRI signals interact with physiological dynamics of the body can provide new insight into brain function and offer potential biomarkers of ...
