LC3B Mediated SETDB1‐Accounted Alcoholic Steatohepatitis via Lipidation‐Dependent LAP and Lipidation‐Independent Nuclear Stabilization
Advanced Science, EarlyView.SETDB1 is progressively downregulated in ALD, correlating with disease severity. SETDB1 deficiency impairs LAP by disrupting Rubicon membrane localization, leading to defective lipid droplet clearance. Concurrently, loss of SETDB1 reduces nuclear LC3B, causing R‐loop accumulation and cGAS‐STING‐driven inflammation. Lipidated LC3B mediates LAP‐dependent Yi Zhang, Tan Wei, Jiahang Wu, Chuixu Lin, Dongbo Zhu, Yanhui Li, Shuting Shi, Shishun Huang, Leiming Jiang, Hongzhi Wang, Meiqi Song, Pengfei Gao, Xu Wu, Mingjian Fan, Chaofeng Wei, Qian Wang, Lihui Qu, Zhigang Wang +17 morewiley +1 more sourceAdipocyte‐Derived Leptolin Enhances Energy Expenditure and Prevents Obesity
Advanced Science, EarlyView. We identified a novel adipokine, which we named leptolin. In humans, leptolin levels in white adipose tissue were positively correlated with exercise and negatively associated with body mass index. We observed elevated leptolin in serum from athletes and lower leptolin in serum from obese individuals.Jiarui Liu, Bingwei Wang, Zhijie Su, Xiaoxv Han, Miao He, Yun Zhao, Yujia Hou, Daotong Li, Weiguang Zhang, Lihua Qin, Ke Wang, Yanchun Li, Yi Yan, Siwang Yu, Xiaoshuai Huang, Tairan Yuwen, Jianyuan Luo, Ruimao Zheng +17 morewiley +1 more sourceAgnuside Stabilizes the Complex I Assembly Factor NDUFAF6 to Reinforce Mitochondrial Efficiency and Thermogenic Responsiveness
Advanced Science, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates Qingwen Zhao, Li Xie, Qianzhuo Wang, Shuying Dai, Bei Li, Yingjuan Zhang, Zhe Sun, Yue Gao +7 morewiley +1 more sourceLandscape of respiratory syncytial virus
Chinese Medical Journal Abstract Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is an enveloped, negative-sense, single-stranded RNA virus of the Orthopneumovirus genus of the Pneumoviridae family in the order Mononegavirales. RSV can cause acute upper and lower respiratory tract infections, sometimes with extrapulmonary complications.Yuping Duan, Zimeng Liu, Na Zang, Bingbing Cong, Yuqing Shi, Lili Xu, Mingyue Jiang, Peixin Wang, Jing Zou, Han Zhang, Ziheng Feng, Luzhao Feng, Lili Ren, Enmei Liu, You Li, Yan Zhang, Zhengde Xie, Jing Ni +17 moreopenaire +3 more sourcesPET Imaging of Cardiac Inflammation in Viral Myocarditis Using a DPP4‐Targeted Probe
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study describes a DPP4‐targeted PET probe for imaging myocardial inflammation by selectively targeting activated immune cells. Derived from the clinically approved small‐molecule inhibitor linagliptin, the probe demonstrates favorable biodistribution with specific cardiac uptake in myocarditis.Wanhao Gao, Wenzhu Hu, Du Tang, Xinxin Liu, Kun Yu, Lixia Feng, Minyu Liao, Wang Lin, Wenqiang Zhu, Sanjay Rajagopalan, Xiaoli Lan, Jixin Zhong, Dao Wen Wang, Dawei Jiang, Xiaoquan Rao +14 morewiley +1 more sourceSARS-CoV-2 strains bearing Omicron BA.1 spike replicate in C57BL/6 mice
Frontiers in ImmunologyIntroductionSARS-CoV-2, the cause of the COVID pandemic, is an RNA virus with a high propensity to mutate. Successive virus variants, including variants of concern (VOC), have emerged with increased transmission or immune escape.Patricia P.
