Electrochemically Mediated Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization Driven by Alternating Current

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 136, Issue 29, July 15, 2024.
The study introduces alternating current (AC) electrolysis in ATRP using a symmetrical Cu/Cu electrode pair to generate the CuI activator complex and drive the polymerization. Square and sinusoidal waves at 0.1 Hz from an AC generator were used to polymerize many monomers (including functionals) in organic solvent, water, and bulk.

Manganese Porphyrin‐Catalyzed One‐Pot Oxidation of Lupeol: Efficient Conversion of Its Terminal Alkene Into Carboxylic Acids

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
Manganese porphyrin catalyst enables green PhI(OAc)2 oxidation of lupeol in ethyl acetate, achieving 94% conversion and the formation of eight products, including selective C20 olefin transformations and one‐pot conversion of the isopropenyl group to carboxylic acids, all without the need of C3‐OH protection step.

Influence of Hornification Treatment and Fiber Length on the Performance of Recycled Polypropylene Composites

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 5, Page 4793-4803, 10 March 2026.
Study of the influence of hornification treatment and jute and mallow fiber length on the physical, thermal, and mechanical properties of recycled polypropylene (PP) composites. ABSTRACT The growing accumulation of plastic waste has driven its reuse in the development of new composites, with natural fibers emerging as promising reinforcements. However,

Fat saturation in breast dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI): comparison between DIXON and SPAIR techniques

open access: yesSaúde & Tecnologia, 2015
Introduction – Breast MRI with contrast injection is an indispensable tool for the characterization of breast lesions. To achieve this, good fat saturation is important in order to delimit the lesions.

Continuous‐Wave (CW) Photo‐CIDNP NMR Spectroscopy: A Tutorial

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 63, Issue 12, Page 1020-1034, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Photo‐chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarisation (photo‐CIDNP) is a nuclear spin‐selective magnetic resonance phenomenon that has traditionally been used to mechanistically study chemical reactions involving the (transient) formation of radical molecular species, extract EPR observables of short‐lived radicals, probe biomolecular ...
