Normalized restricted random testing

2010
Restricted Random Testing (RRT) is a new method of testing software that improves upon traditional random testing (RT) techniques. This paper presents new data in support of the efficiency of RRT, and presents a variation of the algorithm, Normalized Restricted Random Testing (NRRT).

Averages in restricted random walks

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1981
In configurational studies of polymer chains one is sometimes concerned with averages in the presence of restrictions, e.g. that the end-to-end distance of the chain is R. The standard method of calculating such averages is to assume that the separation of all pairs of elements is Gaussian.

Random graphs from restricted classes

2016
1 Boltzmann generation of Random Combinatorial Structures Our aim is to describe a general purpose sampling algorithm for a given class of graphs. Notation: we denote by A any class of graphs, and write A = ⋃ n≥0An, where An consists of all elements of A that have n vertices. We will always assume that graphs are welllabeled, meaning that each graph in

A restricted random walk model

1979
Consider a particle that starts at the origin and that can move in one step from the position (x,y) to the positions \((x+1,y)\), \((x,y+1)\) or \((x+1,y+1)\). The authors derive the generating function of the probability that the particle will be at \((x,x+\beta)\) after t steps never reaching the lines \(y=x+a\) and \(y=x-b\).
