Collision Orbits for Small Mass Ratio in the Restricted Three Body Problem [PDF]
The existence of the j-type collision periodic orbit is examined on the condition of mass ratio 0.9878449 and Jacobian constant 2.9 ¡3.4. Using the Birckhoff's regularization method and the 5th order Runge-Kutta variable step-sized numerical integration

Contact geometry of the restricted three‐body problem [PDF]
AbstractWe show that the planar circular restricted three‐body problem is of restricted contact type for all energies below the first critical value (action of the first Lagrange point) and for energies slightly above it. This opens up the possibility of using the technology of contact topology to understand this particular dynamical system.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

The Sitnikov's problem is a special case of restricted three body problem if the primaries are of equal masses (m1 = m2 = 1/2) moving in circular orbits under Newtonian force of attraction and the third body of mass m3 moves along the line perpendicular

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

General Relativistic Effect on Sitnikov Three-Body Problem: Restricted Case
We investigate the effect of general relativity on the Sitnikov problem. The Sitnikov problem is one of the simplest three-body problems, in which the two primary bodies (a binary system) have equal mass m and orbit their barycenter, while the third body

The vanishing twist in the restricted three-body problem [PDF]
This paper demonstrates the existence of twistless tori and the associated reconnection bifurcations and meandering curves in the planar circular restricted three-body problem. Near the Lagrangian equilibrium $\mathcal{L}_4$ a twistless torus is created near the tripling bifurcation of the short period family.

Bioscience students were asked for their opinions on the value and teaching of skills. 204 responded that teamwork, time management and study skills are necessary to reach University, that scientific writing, research, laboratory and presentation skills are taught effectively during their studies, while other skills are gained inherently through study ...

The collinear equilibrium points in the restricted three body problem with triaxial primaries
The perturbed restricted three body problem has been reviewed. The mass of the primaries are assumed as triaxial. The locations of the collinear points have been computed. Series forms of these locations are obtained as new analytical results.
