Identification of Papillomaviruses in Butchers' Warts [PDF]
We have studied the papillomaviruses found in the hand warts of 60 butchers, most of them from 2 distant slaughtershouses. Warts differing in morphology and location were studied separately.

Does quantum entanglement in DNA synchronize the catalytic centers of type II restriction endonucleases? [PDF]
Several living systems have been examined for their apparent optimization of structure and function for quantum behavior at biological length scales. Orthodox type II endonucleases, the largest class of restriction enzymes, recognize four-to-eight base pair sequences of palindromic DNA, cut both strands symmetrically, and act without an external ...

Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Representations of Genetic Tables, Bimagic Squares, Hamming Distances and Shannon Entropy [PDF]
In this paper we have established relations of the genetic tables with magic and bimagic squares. Connections with Hamming distances, binomial coefficients are established. The idea of Gray code is applied. Shannon entropy of magic squares of order 4x4, 8x8 and 16x16 are also calculated. Some comparison is also made.

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Rapid construction of mycobacterial mutagenesis vectors using ligation-independent cloning [PDF]
Targeted mutagenesis is one of the major tools for determining the function of a given gene and its involvement in bacterial pathogenesis. In mycobacteria, gene deletion is often accomplished by using allelic exchange techniques that commonly utilise a ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (
