Easy‐to‐use R functions to separate reduced‐representation genomic datasets into sex‐linked and autosomal loci, and conduct sex assignment

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Identifying sex‐linked markers in genomic datasets is important because their presence in supposedly neutral autosomal datasets can result in incorrect estimates of genetic diversity, population structure and parentage. However, detecting sex‐linked loci can be challenging, and available scripts neglect some categories of sex‐linked variation.

Exploring the dynamic landscape of immunopeptidomics: Unravelling posttranslational modifications and navigating bioinformatics terrain

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract Immunopeptidomics is becoming an increasingly important field of study. The capability to identify immunopeptides with pivotal roles in the human immune system is essential to shift the current curative medicine towards personalized medicine. Throughout the years, the field has matured, giving insight into the current pitfalls. Nowadays, it is

Optimizing ddRAD sequencing for population genomic studies with ddgRADer

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Double‐digest Restriction‐site Associated DNA sequencing (ddRADseq) is widely used to generate genomic data for non‐model organisms in evolutionary and ecological studies. Along with affordable paired‐end sequencing, this method makes population genomic analyses more accessible.

Exploration of Neurodegenerative Diseases Using Long‐Read Sequencing and Optical Genome Mapping Technologies

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Genetic factors play a central role in neurodegenerative disorders. Over the past few decades, significant progress has been made in identifying the causative genes of numerous monogenic disorders, largely due to the widespread adoption of next‐generation sequencing (NGS) technologies in both research and clinical settings.

Identification and activity evaluation of the sex pheromone of Argyrogramma agnata Staudinger in China

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, EarlyView.
The sex pheromone components of Argyrogramma agnata (Staudinger) were identified as Z7‐12:Ac and Z9‐12:Ac. Field trials demonstrated that two components in an 8:3 ratio at a dose of 1100 μg and equipped with box traps could achieve the best capture efficiency. These results provide valuable guidance for the integrated pest management of A.
