RESUMMATION IN HOT FIELD THEORIES [PDF]

open access: yesStrong and Electroweak Matter 2002, 2003
We consider a scalar theory at finite temperature in the 2PI resummation scheme, including phi^3 and phi^4 interactions. Already at the one loop level in this scheme, we have to deal with a non local approximation. We carry out the renormalization and obtain finite equations for the propagator.

Machine Learning‐Based Estimation of Reference Evapotranspiration and Crop Coefficients for Wheat Under Diverse Climatic Conditions

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurate estimation of reference evapotranspiration (ET0) and crop coefficients (Kc) is critical for irrigation planning, particularly in data‐limited regions where agriculture dominates freshwater consumption. Although machine learning (ML) methods have been widely applied to ET0 and Kc estimation, most studies address these parameters ...

High-energy resummation in heavy-quark pair hadroproduction

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
The inclusive hadroproduction of two heavy quarks, featuring a large separation in rapidity, is proposed as a novel probe channel of the Balitsky–Fadin–Kuraev–Lipatov (BFKL) approach.

Drivers and Challenges of Micro‐Irrigation Adoption and Intensity in India: A Study of Four States

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT India's food security relies substantially on groundwater, but inefficient irrigation is seriously depleting this resource. Micro‐irrigation (MI) improves irrigation application efficiency and productivity, yet adoption remains low. This study examines MI adoption across four major Indian states—Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and ...

Improved thermal resummation for multi-field potentials

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The resummation of large thermal corrections to the effective potential is mandatory for the accurate prediction of phase transitions. We discuss the accuracy of different prescriptions to perform this resummation at the one- and two-loop level and point

High-energy resummation in heavy-quark pair photoproduction

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We present our predictions for the inclusive production of two heavy quark–antiquark pairs, separated by a large rapidity interval, in the collision of (quasi-)real photons at the energies of LEP2 and of some future electron–positron colliders.

Variable Rate Irrigation: A Long‐Term Simulated and Field Data Analyses of Irrigation Practices, Field Variability, Economic Feasibility and Profitability

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Long‐term economic analyses of variable rate irrigation (VRI) strategies were performed compared with uniform irrigation management (UIM) in a reference production field using the AquaCrop model. Five strategies to trigger irrigation were as follows: (Field Capacity‐VRI, Driest Soil Trigger‐VRI, Water Mining‐VRI, Conventional Uniform ...

Jettiness formulation of the MiNNLOPS method

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present a new formulation of the MiNNLOPS method to match NNLO QCD calculations with parton showers by using jettiness as a resummation variable. The full derivation for colour-singlet processes is presented using 0-jettiness starting from the NNLL ...

Inline Oxygenation in Drip‐Irrigated Citrus: How Much Agrochemical Reduction Is Needed to Achieve Net Environmental Benefits?

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The agronomic benefits of oxygen‐enriched irrigation, such as improved root development, enhanced nutrient uptake, and reduced fertiliser and pesticide requirements, are well documented. However, incorporating oxygenation devices into fertigation systems increases energy demand and material use, thereby incurring additional environmental ...

Four-loop splitting functions at small x

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We consider the expansion of small-x resummed DGLAP splitting functions at next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy to four-loop order, namely next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N3LO).
