Stop comparing resummation methods

open access: yes, 2023
I argue that the consistency of any resummation method can be established if the method follows a power counting derived from a hierarchy of scales. I.e., whether it encodes a top-down effective field theory.

Impact of Irrigation Scheduling on Corn Yield and Water Balance in Sandy Soils of Central Minnesota Using the EPIC Model.

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Efficient irrigation scheduling is critical in sandy soils to achieve optimum yield and maximum net benefit with minimum environmental concerns. The Environmental Policy Integrated Climate (EPIC) model was used to study the impacts of autoirrigation of corn on crop yield and soil water balance during 2019–2021 at −300 and −450 kPa for loamy ...

Nemegyensúlyi jelenségek vizsgálata térelméleti módszerekkel = Application of field theoretical methods for nonequilibrium systems

open access: yes, 2007
A kutatás célja nemegyensúlyi jelenségek térelméleti megközelítése volt a részecskefizikában és a kondenzált anyagok fizikájában. Eredményei a következő területeken születtek: 1.) QCD effektív elméleteiben (O(N) model, chirális szigma model) a ...

Semi-numerical resummation of event shapes

open access: yes, 2001
For many event-shape observables, the most difficult part of a resummation in the Born limit is the analytical treatment of the observable's dependence on multiple emissions, which is required at single logarithmic accuracy.

New Drain Spacing Formulas Using the Variational Iteration Method

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, the drain spacing is computed using the variational iteration method (VIM) to the linearized Boussinesq equation. By applying at most two iterations of the VIM method under three different initial condition scenarios, three equations for drain spacing calculation were derived. These equations predict values of drain spacing that

Transverse momentum distributions at large-x

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We investigate the collinear matching of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) distributions at large values of x, computing and resumming the leading large-x asymptotics for matching coefficients.

TEMPERATURE RENORMALIZATION GROUP AND RESUMMATION [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1993
The temperature renormalization group equation (TRGE) is compared with a diagrammatic expansion for the (ϕ4)4-theory. It is found that the one-loop TRGE resums the leading powers of temperature for the effective mass. A two-loop contribution to TRGE is required to do the leading resummation for the coupling constant.

Does the Application Flow Rate of Nutrient Solutions Prepared in Brackish Water Affect Coriander Production?

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Flow rates for applying nutrient solutions in hydroponic systems are empirically known, yet uncertainties remain regarding whether brackish water affects the optimal flow rate and, consequently, biomass production and allocation. This study evaluated whether variations in application flow rate affect coriander biomass when brackish water is ...

Precise predictions for μ ± e − → μ ± e − at the MUonE experiment

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The proposed fixed-target experiment, MUonE, at CERN will aim to measure the hadronic contribution to the running of the QED coupling by analysing the scattering of muons on electrons. Here we present state-of-the-art predictions for the process μ ± e − →

The resummation of soft gluon in hadronic collisions

open access: yes, 1996
We compute the effects of soft gluon resummation for the production of high mass systems in hadronic collisions. We carefully analyse the growth of the perturbative expansion coefficients of the resummation formula.
