Ultrawide-Angle Retinal Imaging and Retinal Detachment
Seminars in Ophthalmology, 2007To illustrate the utility of ultrawide-angle fundus imaging in documenting the clinical course of a retinal detachment.Observational case report.A 20-year-old man with high myopia and a blind fellow eye noted symptoms of retinal detachment and was imaged with an ultrawide-angle fundus imaging device (Optos P200).

Method of Stabilizing the Retinal Image
Applied Optics, 1974A new method to stabilize the retinal image is described that is easy to use and does not ask for heavy and protruding attachments on the subject's contact lens. The method is treated theoretically in the paraxial approximation. Image aberrations and focusing tolerances are discussed.

Image Analysis of Retinal Images
2011The eye is sometimes said to provide a window into the health of a person for it is only in the eye that one can actually see the exposed flesh of the subject without using invasive procedures. That ‘exposed flesh’ is, of course, the retina, the light sensitive layer at the back of the eye. There are a number of diseases, particularly vascular disease,

MULTIMODAL RETINAL IMAGING IN ACHROMATOPSIA
RETINAL Cases & Brief Reports, 2014To investigate comprehensive image findings in a patient with incomplete achromatopsia.Observational case report.A 12-year-old girl was referred to our clinic with nystagmus, photophobia, poor best-corrected visual acuity, and impaired color vision since she was 5 years old. Her best-corrected visual acuity was 20/200 for both eyes.

A beam of light reflected from a mirror attached to a contact lens, worn by the subject, produces a test object whose image does not move across the retina in response to eye-movements. This is called the stabilised retinal image. In this paper, conditions for accurate stabilisation are discussed.

Multimodal Imaging in Retinal Vasculitis
Ocular Immunology and Inflammation, 2017Retinal vasculitis presents with inflammation involving the retinal vasculature as an isolated disease or in combination with other ocular or systemic conditions. This entity may be associated with a wide variety of clinical manifestations such as vascular sheathing, cotton-wool spots, retinal ischemia, and neovascularization. Often, retinal vasculitis

: An image which is stabilised with respect to the retina functionally eliminates the micronystagmoid movements of the eyeball. The degree of elimination depends on the accuracy of stabilisation achieved. A variety of apparatus has been used to try and achieve accurate stabilisation but at the same time to provide a method which permits the use of a ...
