Generation of a human iPS cell line from a patient with retinitis pigmentosa due to EYS mutation [PDF]
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is an inherited retinal degenerative disease. Mutations in EYS have been associated with autosomal recessive RP. The human iPS cell line, CABi002-A, derived from peripheral blood mononuclear cells from a patient carrying a ...

Nile Red‐loaded poly(solketal acrylate) nanoparticles enable fluorescence tracking and exhibit nontoxic profiles in retinal cells. Enhanced cellular uptake and deep retinal penetration after intravitreal injection highlight their excellent potential for targeted ocular drug delivery to the posterior segment of the eye.

Ocular tuberculosis masquerading as atypical ocular toxoplasmosis
Ocular tuberculosis is a great mimicker of various uveitis entities. We present a case of a 29-year-old male who came in with blurring of vision and floaters in the left eye. On examination, the left eye had anterior chamber cells and vitritis associated

CMV in the gut: a critical review of CMV detection in the immunocompetent host with colitis. [PDF]
As scientific techniques for the detection of cytomegalovirus (CMV) improve, we are able to detect small amounts of CMV in the mucosal wall. As clinicians, we are unsure how to interpret the results of this novel test.

Optical coherence tomography angiography features of retinitis post-rickettsial fever
The intraocular manifestations of rickettisial retinitis include retinal vasculitis, maculopathy, optic neuritis, and neurosensory detachment. Extensive leakage of dye on the fundus fluorescein angiography may obscure visualization in eyes with retinitis.

Abstract Background G protein‐coupled receptors are a large and functionally diverse family of membrane receptors involved in a number of biological processes. Like other proteins, G protein‐coupled receptors need to be properly folded in order to traffic to the plasma membrane and interact with agonist.
