Mechanism of pH-induced Release of Retinol from Retinol-Binding Protein
A hypothesis is proposed explaining the mechanism of pH-induced release of retinol from retinol-binding protein (RBP). A number of conservative positively charged side chains located on the retinol-binding face of the RBP molecule are involved in salt ...

Our research journey revealed a clear split: mRNAs track stress stages, while miRNAs sense stress states. We built a validated predictive model from just 6 markers. The star was Ncan—an astrocytic proteoglycan—which restored neuronal nets and eased depression; virtual knockout confirmed its central role in stress networks.

NOX4 represents a candidate icariin‐associated regulatory node in gastric cancer and may contribute to the cellular response to icariin through redox‐related signaling. ABSTRACT Icariin, a prenylated flavonoid glycoside from Epimedium species, is a representative dietary polyphenol with antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antitumor properties.

The targeted delivery of non-polar ligands by binding proteins to membranes or membrane receptors involves the release of these ligands on or near the plasma membrane of target cells. Because these hydrophobic ligands are often bound inside a deep cavity
