Chemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.Phenolic antioxidants in CHMs mainly include chalcone, stilbene, flavonoid, xanthone, and Diels–Alder‐type adducts. They undergo direct and indirect pathways to exert antioxidant action. The indirect pathway is transition metal‐chelating, while the direct pathway comprises several redox‐based reactions (e.g., SET and HAT) and RAF reactions.
