Journal of Clinical Investigation, 1968 Vitamin A circulates in human plasma as retinol bound to a specific transport protein. This protein differs from the known low and high density plasma lipoproteins and has a hydrated density greater than 1.21. Chemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.Manganese oxides (MnOX) of different structures and with different Mn oxidation states exhibit significant variation in their reactivity toward the oxidation of allylic alcohols. Using two allylic alcohol model substrates, we demonstrate the relationship between activity and MnOX structure, Mn4+ content and incorporated secondary cations.
