Dietary ethanol is associated with reduced lipolysis of intestinally derived lipoproteins.
An acute oral fat load produces transient lipemia that is enhanced by the simultaneous ingestion of ethanol. This phenomenon has been reinvestigated in six normal subjects who consumed three different fat loads with and without ethanol.

Lysosomal Acid Lipase Hydrolyzes Retinyl Ester and Affects Retinoid Turnover [PDF]
Lysosomal acid lipase (LAL) is essential for the clearance of endocytosed cholesteryl ester and triglyceride-rich chylomicron remnants. Humans and mice with defective or absent LAL activity accumulate large amounts of cholesteryl esters and triglycerides

Analysis of Vitamin A in Multivitamin Products
Vitamin A is present in multivitamin products mainly in the form of retinol esters: retinyl acetate, retinyl palmitate, and beta carotene—retinol precursor (dimer) found in plants, which is capable of converting into retinol in liver cells.
