A rapid and sensitive separation of retinol and retinyl palmitate using a small, disposable bonded-phase column: kinetic applications.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
A method utilizing small disposable C18 bonded-phase columns has been developed to separate retinol and retinyl palmitate mixtures into their individual components in high yield and purity.

Retinyl palmitate polymeric nanocapsules as carriers of bioactives

open access: yesJournal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2012
Nanocapsules containing poly(d,l-lactide) shell and retinyl palmitate core have been prepared by the pre-formed polymer interfacial deposition method. Dynamic light scattering measurements yielded an average hydrodynamic diameter of ∼220nm and a polydispersity index of ∼0.12.

At‐Home Early Diagnosis of Mastitis: Calibration‐Free Analysis of Sodium to Potassium Ratio in Breast Milk

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 10, 2 February 2026.
MAMAWEL is introduced as the first calibration‐free potentiometric sensor for at‐home mastitis diagnosis. By measuring the sodium‐to‐potassium ratio in breast milk, the device reliably differentiates between healthy and mastitis‐affected samples with less than 10% error.

Kinetics of chylomicron remnant clearance in normal and in hyperlipoproteinemic subjects.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1987
The kinetics of chylomicron metabolism have been studied by measuring retinyl palmitate in chylomicrons and their remnants for 10-12 hr following oral administration of vitamin A and Lipomul in three groups of adult male subjects: A) normal plasma ...

Safety evaluation of vitamin A in growing dogs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The safe upper limit for inclusion of vitamin A in complete diets for growing dogs is uncertain, with the result that current recommendations range from 5.24 to 104.80 μmol retinol (5000 to 100 000 IU vitamin A)/4184 kJ (1000 kcal) metabolisable energy ...

Acyl CoA:retinol acyltransferase in rat small intestine: its activity and some properties of the enzymic reaction.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1982
The present study was conducted to examine whether the intestinal esterification of retinol could be due to a microsomal acyl-CoA transferase. When the 'microsomal fraction' of rat mucosa was incubated with [3H]retinol and palmitoyl-CoA or oleoyl-CoA ...
