Retrial G-queue with precipitous breakdown and non-tenacious customers [PDF]
We perform an analysis on an M/G/1 system that has bulk arrival Poisson process as well as instantaneous service, Precipitous breakdown and random repair, Gqueue, and operation under an MBV (Modified Bernoulli vacation) policy.

Retrial queue with two-way communication and collisions
In this paper, we consider retrial queue with two types of calls: incoming and outgoing. If the server is busy upon arrival, the incoming call provokes collisions. If two incoming calls cause collision, both of them join the orbit.

Swarm based Heuristic Optimization of the Recurrent Customers and Standby Server Under General Retrial Times [PDF]
As queueing theory and modeling deal with queue length, waiting time and busy period, that all affect costs for an in institution and/or a busing corporation, the optimization plays a crucial role in such models.

A computational algorithm for the CPP/M/c retrial queue [PDF]
This paper introduces the retrial CPP/M/c queue, which is the general- ization of the M/M/c retrial queue. The arrival process of jobs into the queue follows the Compound Poisson Process (CPP).

A note on the busy period of the M/G/1 queue with finite retrial group
This work was supported by MEC grant no. MTM2005-01248We consider an M/G/1 retrial queue with finite capacity of the retrial group. We derive the Laplace transform of the busy period using the catastrophe method.

Closure methods for the single-server retrial queue
This work focuses on the development and evaluation of so-called "closure methods" for solving the equations governing the time-dependent behaviour of single-server retrial queues.

This paper treats strategic joining and pricing policies in an M/M/1 retrial queue with orbital search which is motivated by the application in call centers, where the server will make orbital search or remain idle whenever he completes a service, the ...
