APPROXIMATION OF PH/PH/c RETRIAL QUEUE WITH PH-RETRIAL TIME

Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, 2014
We consider the PH/PH/c retrial queues with PH-retrial time. Approximation formulae for the distribution of the number of customers in service facility, sojourn time distribution and the mean number of customers in orbit are presented. We provide an approximation for GI/G/c retrial queue with general retrial time by approximating the general ...

A retrial queue with redundancy and unreliable server

Queueing Systems, 1994
This paper introduces a new version of the unreliable \(M/G/1/1\) retrial queue and obtains, amongst other things, using the theory of piecewise Markovian processes, the analogue of the Pollaczek-Khinchin formula for such a queue.

ESTIMATORS OF THE RETRIAL RATE IN M/G/1 RETRIAL QUEUES

Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research, 2006
In this article we analyze the M/G/1 retrial queue from a statistical viewpoint. Assuming that retrials are exponentially distributed we focus on the estimation of the retrial parameter for constant and non-constant retrial policies, including the non-ergodic case. We consider different estimators and compare their asymptotic variances.

A Diffusion Approximation for Retrial Queueing Systems

Theory of Probability & Its Applications, 1992
A multichannel queueing system with repeated calls is considered. It is proven that when the intensity of repeated calls converges to zero, the normalized centered length of the queue converges to an Ornstein- Uhlenbeck process.

A retrial queueing model with thresholds and phase type retrial times

2020
Summary: There is an extensive literature on retrial queueing models. While a majority of the literature on retrial queueing models focuses on the retrial times to be exponentially distributed (so as to keep the state space to be of a reasonable size), a few papers deal with nonexponential retrial times but with some additional restrictions such as ...

Retrial queues and networks with constant retrial rate

2010
In the talk we review the results about retrial queues and networks with constant retrial rate. Speci fically we consider a network of queues with finite waiting room capacities. Jobs travel through the network by paths given by some routing matrix. If a job fi nds a queue with no available waiting space it goes into the orbit queue corresponding to ...
