Machine Learning‐Guided Design of Next‐Generation Battery Materials for Sustainable Energy Storage Systems

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
Machine learning models were developed to predict material stability and sustainability of battery compounds using data‐driven descriptors. The random forest model demonstrated superior performance, enabling efficient screening and identification of environmentally sustainable and thermodynamically stable materials for next‐generation energy storage ...

Operational and environmental barriers to centralized composting in two small Brazilian municipalities: A longitudinal study

open access: yesEnvironmental Progress &Sustainable Energy, EarlyView.
Abstract Municipal solid waste management in small cities faces severe logistical and financial barriers regarding organic fraction treatment. This study evaluates biological selective collection in two small Brazilian municipalities (Astorga and Sabáudia), comparing dynamics between gated communities (GC) and public thoroughfares (PT) over an annual ...

Thermal and physical characterization of briquettes produced from wood, charcoal fines, and plastic packaging waste

open access: yesEnvironmental Progress &Sustainable Energy, EarlyView.
Abstract Briquettes represent a sustainable and viable approach for the reutilization of solid urban and industrial waste. Their incorporation into wood‐based briquettes aims to generate thermal energy through combustion, enabling application in industrial thermal systems already equipped with flue‐gas emission control.

Warmed intravenous fluid administration attenuated a reduction in body temperature in anaesthetised horses

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Peri‐anaesthetic hypothermia is a well‐documented complication of general anaesthesia and is associated with prolonged recovery, impaired wound healing, and delayed coagulation. Fluid warmers can be used to mitigate heat loss, but there is little evidence supporting their effectiveness in equine anaesthesia.

Highly conductive and robust epidermal dry electrode for long‐term interval biopotential monitoring

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
A freestanding PVA‐PBFDO conductive dry electrode combines high conductivity, flexibility, and environmental stability to enable long‐term, high‐fidelity electrophysiological (EP) signal monitoring. Its patterning capability further facilitates the fabrication of wearable and multi‐channel bioelectronic devices.
