Cortical Characterization of Reverberation Time in Reverberant Speech

2020 42nd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2020
Reverberation reduces speech quality, and therefore causes inconveniency to listeners, especially those using assistive hearing devices. To enhance the quality of reverberant speech, a significant step is speech quality assessment, most of which are based on subjective judgements.

A method for extending reverberation time of Dattorro's reverberator

2015 12th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD), 2015
Based on the introduction of the digital reverberation algorithm, we use the integrated impulse response method, and the method of compressing and extending the reverberation model impulse response to solve two existing problems of the Dattorro's plate reverberator in the practical application.

Reverberations in echocardiograms

Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 1977
AbstractDifferent types of reverberations which may cause confusing artifacts in echocardiograms are described. Reverberations between the targets may result in identifiable complex echo patterns. An echocardiogram with reverberating echoes is presented. Several experimental studies were done to explain the reverberating echoies.

Masking of surface reverberation by volume reverberation

Deep Sea Research and Oceanographic Abstracts, 1966
Measurements of the backscattering of 4-kcps sound from the surface of the sea at a grazing angle of 5° and a wind speed ranging from less than 5 ft (knots) to greater than 35 kt were made off Bermuda. It was assumed that surface backscattering is wind-speed-dependent; volume backscattering, on the other hand, was assumed not to be wind-speed-dependent
