Nonnative implicit phonetic training in multiple reverberant environments. [PDF]
Speech intelligibility is adversely affected by reverberation, particularly when listening to a foreign language. However, little is known about how phonetic learning is affected by room acoustics.

Speech intelligibility prediction in reverberation: Towards an integrated model of speech transmission, spatial unmasking, and binaural de-reverberation [PDF]
Room acoustic indicators of intelligibility have focused on the effects of temporal smearing of speech by reverberation and masking by diffuse ambient noise.

Abstract Purpose This study compares the dosimetric accuracy of deep‐learning‐based MR synthetic CT (sCT) in brain radiotherapy between the Analytical Anisotropic Algorithm (AAA) and AcurosXB (AXB). Additionally, it proposes a novel metric to predict the dosimetric accuracy of sCT for individual post‐surgical brain cases.

Spring Reverberation: A Physical Perspective [PDF]
Spring-based artificial reverberation was one of the earliest attempts at compact replication of room-like reverberation for studio use. The popularity and unique sound of this effect have given it a status and desirability apart from its original use ...

Experimental assessment of specific absorption rate using room electromagnetics [PDF]
A closed room environment is viewed as a lossy cavity, characterized by possibly a line-of-sight component and diffuse scattering parts from walls and internal obstacles.

Calcium modulating ligand confers risk for Parkinson's disease and impacts lysosomes
Abstract Objective Several genetic loci known to confer risk for Parkinson's disease (PD) function in lysosomal pathways. We systematically screened common variants linked to PD risk by genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) for impact on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins reflecting lysosomal function.
