Revealing the Transcriptional and Metabolic Characteristics of Sebocytes Based on the Donkey Cell Transcriptome Atlas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a comprehensive single‐cell transcriptome atlas of the Dezhou donkey, encompassing 20 tissues and 275 050 cells, is constructed. Through cross‐species and cross‐tissue analyses, distinct transcriptional patterns in donkey sebocytes are identified.

Accumulation of Damaging Lipids in the Arf1‐Ablated Neurons Promotes Neurodegeneration through Releasing mtDNA and Activating Inflammatory Pathways in Microglia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Arf1 defects activate the AKT‐mTORC1‐SREBP1‐FASN pathway to increase lipid synthesis and disrupt ER‐mitochondrial‐lysosomal homeostasis in neurons. Impaired mitochondria secrete damaged mtDNA via mitochondria‐derived extracellular vesicles, which is phagocytosed by the microglia and activated inflammation signaling.

Zymosan-mediated inflammation impairs in vivo reverse cholesterol transport[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2011
Inflammation has been proposed to impair HDL function and reverse cholesterol transport (RCT). We investigated the effects of inflammation mediated by zymosan, a yeast glucan, on multiple steps along the RCT pathway in vivo and ex vivo.

Insulin Regulation of Reverse Cholesterol Transport

open access: yes, 2019
Insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes are pathogenetically linked to increased risk of cardiovascular disease. While insulin resistance is defined by a dysregulation in hepatic insulin signaling, it is unclear how this impairment relates to the development of cardiovascular disease.

Therapeutic Delivery of circDYM by Perillyl Alcohol Nanoemulsion Alleviates LPS‐Induced Depressive‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PANEs are specifically designed to enhance the brain delivery efficiency of circDYM compared to commercialized lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Intranasal administration of PANE‐circDYM effectively alleviated LPS‐induced depressive‐like behaviors by mitigating neuroinflammation and promoting neuroplasticity.

TRIM25‐Mediated INSIG1 Ubiquitination Promotes MASH Progression Through Reprogramming Lipid Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TRIM25‐mediated ubiquitination of INSIG1 serves as a key driver of lipid metabolism dysregulation in MASH progression. It identifies a novel small‐molecule inhibitor, C27H26N2O4S, which effectively inhibits TRIM25 activity, reducing lipid accumulation and inflammation.

Systematic review of antitumour efficacy and mechanism of metformin activity in prostate cancer models

open access: yesBJUI Compass, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 44-58, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Metformin, the first line pharmacotherapy for type 2 diabetes has demonstrated favourable effects in prostate cancer (PCa) across a range of studies evaluating PCa patient outcomes amongst metformin users. However, a lack of rigorously conducted prospective studies has stalled clinical use in this setting.
