Factor Allocation as Reverse Attribution
The Journal of Portfolio Management, 2021Multifactor models and the construction of factor portfolios are by now pervasive in investment management. Active factor allocation can be challenging, however, given the difficulty in generating accurate point estimates for ex ante factor alphas. To overcome this challenge, the present article describes a technique that gives managers the ability to ...

Reverse mathematics of prime factorization of ordinals
Archive for Mathematical Logic, 1999One of the earliest applications of Cantor's Normal Form Theorem is Jacobstahl's proof of the existence of prime factorizations of ordinals. An ordinal \(\alpha\) is prime if whenever \(\alpha = \lambda \rho\), either \(\rho = 1\) or \(\rho = \alpha\).

Towards an Ontology of Factors Influencing Reverse Engineering
13th IEEE International Workshop on Software Technology and Engineering Practice (STEP'05), 2005In the context of the workshop's discussion on a general framework for empirical studies on reverse engineering, this paper stresses the need for an ontology of factors influencing the application of reverse engineering techniques. Through an integration of existing work, this paper proposes a tentative ontology.
