Abstract As a means to minimize or eliminate brine disposal problems, high recovery RO must be accompanied by pre- or post-treatment to avoid scale precipitation, almost entirely by CaSO4. All such methods will add to water cost. However, rigorous comparison must be made with the costs and constraints of brine disposal at recoveries low enough not ...

Reverse recovery failure modes in modern fast recovery diodes
2000 22nd International Conference on Microelectronics. Proceedings (Cat. No.00TH8400), 2002In this paper, reverse recovery failure modes in modern fast power diodes are investigated. By the aid of semiconductor device simulation tools, a better view is obtained for the physical process, and operating conditions at which both diode snappy recovery and dynamic avalanching phenomenas occur during the recovery period in modern high frequency ...

Reversal of recovery direction during creep recovery of polymer blends
Journal of Rheology, 1995At small stresses or strains, polymeric liquids show a linear viscoelastic behavior. This can be demonstrated in creep followed by creep recovery.

REVERSE RECOVERY OF POWER pn JUNCTION DIODES
Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995A quasi-steady state approximation is used to derive expressions for the waveforms of minority carrier charge stored in p+nn+ power junction diodes driven by large-signal sinusoidal and ramp voltages. These waveforms are derived by solving a diode charge-control differential equation.

Evolution of reverse recovery in trench MOSFETs
2020 32nd International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and ICs (ISPSD), 2020The interaction between the reverse recovery charge and the output charge in trench power MOSFETs is discussed. As the trade-off between the on-resistance and the gate charge improves, the output capacitance has more impact on the reverse recovery losses.

Spontaneous recovery or evoked reversal of neuromuscular block
Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, 1995Recovery from the effects of muscle relaxants can occur either spontaneously by their metabolism in the body or by elimination via the normal excretion pathways, or by the administration of pharmacologic antagonists. The decision as to whether spontaneous recovery should be allowed to take place or pharmacologic reversal should be induced depends upon ...

A simple diode model with reverse recovery
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1991The basic diode charge-control model used in SPICE is extended to include reverse recovery. The model is derived from the semiconductor charge transport equations. The diode charge transport equations are simplified using the lumped charged concept of Linvill, and the model is demonstrated on the Saber simulator for simple inductive and resistive load ...

The recovery of design intent in reverse engineering problems
Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2009This article presents a method of reverse engineering applied to the particular case of a cam in order to recover the form and dimensions of the design of the original piece, which take into account: design intent, general knowledge of the problem, different geometric and dimensional restrictions, and the digitized point cloud. Rather than by employing

Fast recovery diodes - reverse recovery behaviour and dynamic avalanche
2004 24th International Conference on Microelectronics (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8716), 2004This paper deals with the dynamics of the internal charge carriers during the reverse recovery process of a fast power diode. For two conditions, simplified approximations are given for analytical investigation, and parameters for achieving soft recovery are derived. Finally, both conditions are investigated with regard to dynamic ruggedness.

Shower Water Recovery by Reverse Osmosis
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1987<div class="htmlview paragraph">Boeing Aerospace Company (BAC) is currently supporting studies in non-phase change methods for recovering wash water generated by space vehicle crews. The reverse osmosis technology appears to be promising for this application.
