Reverse recovery current in virtual diodes

The switching of a diode from ON to OFF state causes a temporarily high reverse current. We show that such reverse recovery current also occurs in electrostatically doped diodes fabricated in ultrathin FD-SOI film. Reverse recovery of a GaAs optoelectronic thyristor

Results of numerical simulation of reverse recovery processes in a two-terminal GaAs optothyristor are presented. In the highly conducting ON state there are many excess carriers in the inner layers of the device. Reversing the anode voltage removes these carriers, turning the device off.

The Porto Santo seawater reverse osmosis plant has been designed to provide per day 500 m3 of potable water with a total dissolved solids content of 500 ppm from seawater with a total dissolved solids content of abt. 34000 ppm.
