Pt(II) Bipyridyl Complexes Bearing Substituted Fluorenyl Motif on the Bipyridyl and Acetylide Ligands: Synthesis, Photophysics, and Reverse Saturable Absorption

open access: yes, 2016
A series of Pt(II) diimine complexes bearing benzothiazolylfluorenyl (BTZ-F8), diphenylaminofluorenyl (NPh2-F8), or naphthalimidylfluorenyl (NI-F8) motifs on the bipyridyl or acetylide ligands (Pt-4–Pt-8), (i.e., {4,4′-bis[7-R1-F8-(≡)n-]bpy}Pt(7-R2 ...

Viral Infection‐Inspired Autonomous Detection of Fusion‐Competent Viruses for Screening and Environmental Surveillance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by viral entry mechanisms, the FUSION assay enables autonomous detection of respiratory viruses via membrane fusion–triggered CRISPR‐Cas13a activation. VEACON selectively fuses with fusion‐competent viruses, triggering fluorescence within confined vesicles.

A2B2-type push-pull porphyrins as reverse saturable and saturable absorbers

open access: yes, 2007
A2B2-type push?pull porphyrins with a strong intramolecular dipole moment have been prepared via Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions as novel materials for use in nonlinear optics (NLO); they display saturable (SA) and reverse saturable absorption (RSA ...

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

Cu-doped ZnS nanoparticle-PMMA thin films with enhanced nonlinear optical response for photonics applications

open access: yesNext Materials
Cu-doped ZnS nanoparticles (NPs) (1–3 wt%) surface-modified with l-alanine were synthesized by a simple co-precipitation method and embedded in a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) host matrix as thin films via spin coating.

TRANSITION FROM SATURABLE ABSORPTION TO REVERSE SATURABLE ABSORPTION OF MoS2 DIPERSION

open access: yes
