High-Performance Reversible Data Hiding
Fundamenta Informaticae, 2008This paper proposes a high-performance reversible data hiding algorithm based on the block difference histogram of a cover image. If a message is to be embedded into an image, the difference of the block at the maximum point is increased by 1 or left unchanged if the message bit is "1" or "0", respectively.

Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images Based on Binary Symmetric Channel Model and Polar Code
IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, 2023For vacating-room-after-encryption reversible data hiding in encrypted images (VRAE RDHEI), an essential problem is how to address potential errors in data extraction and image recovery.

Enabling Large-Capacity Reversible Data Hiding Over Encrypted JPEG Bitstreams
IEEE transactions on circuits and systems for video technology (Print), 2023Cloud computing offers advantages in handling the exponential growth of images but also entails privacy concerns on outsourced private images. Reversible data hiding (RDH) over encrypted images has emerged as an effective technique for securely storing ...

Reversible Data Hiding Under Inconsistent Distortion Metrics
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2018Recursive code construction (RCC), based on the optimal transition probability matrix (OTPM), approaching the rate-distortion bound of reversible data hiding (RDH) has been proposed. Using the existing methods, OTPM can be effectively estimated only for a consistent distortion metric, i.e., if the host elements at different positions share the same ...

Reversible image processing via reversible data hiding
2016 IEEE International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), 2016Image processing is a very popular and widely used technique. In this paper, we propose a framework for realizing reversible image processing, which enables that the users can return the processed image to the original copy without loss. In the proposed method, the original image is firstly processed to get the desired target image by a classic image ...

Accurate Gradient Selective Based Histogram Bin Shifting for Reversible Data Hiding
2023 4th International Conference for Emerging Technology (INCET), 2023A good prediction Error Expansion (PEE) based reversible data hiding method demands an effective pixel prediction strategy. There are numerous pixel prediction techniques in the literature. The current pixel can be predicted using gradients.

Double-threshold reversible data hiding
Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010This proposed scheme reversibly embeds data into image prediction-errors by using histogram-pair method with double thresholds (embedding threshold and fluctuation threshold). The embedding threshold is used to select only those prediction-errors, whose magnitude does not exceed this threshold, for possible reversible data hiding.
