Comparative analysis of deep dentinal caries microbiota in teeth with normal pulp, reversible pulpitis, symptomatic and asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis

International Endodontic Journal
AbstractAimTo characterize the deep dentinal caries microbiota in teeth diagnosed with normal pulp with deep caries (NP), reversible pulpitis (RP), symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIP), and asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis (AIP), and to identify potential key pathogens associated with pulpitis progression, exploring their roles in disease ...

Pulp Inflammation: From the Reversible Pulpitis to Pulp Necrosis During Caries Progression

open access: yes, 2014
The advances of pulp biology combined with detailed description of the carious lesion environment, as well as the clinical evidence of treating deep lesions, have modified the view of pulp inflammation as being “the nonstopping train” toward apoptosis and pulp necrosis.

Conservative pulp therapy in the management of reversible and irreversible pulpitis

Australian Dental Journal, 2021
AbstractConservative pulp therapy is an alternative treatment option to tooth removal and root canal treatment in the management of deep caries, traumatic pulp exposures and developmental anomalies. Pulp tissue preservation can extend the long‐term survival of teeth through relatively simple restorative procedures.

Survival and prognostic factors of managing cracked teeth with reversible pulpitis: A 1‐ to 4‐year prospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, 2021
Aim: This prospective clinical study evaluated the clinical performance of managing cracked teeth with reversible pulpitis through a combination of internal and external splinting and investigated factors that can affect pulp survival after splinting.

EVALUATION TREATMENT RESULTS REVERSIBLE PULPITIS BY BIODENTINE

Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy, 2021
Background: Reversible pulpitis is a pathological form of the pulp, if detected and treated in time, pulp can recover. For the treatment of pulp conservation, many materials have been developed and continuously improved: Calcium hydroxide, Calcium silicate, Mineral Trioxide Agregate Tricalcium Silicate (Biodentine...

Microbiome of Deep Dentinal Caries from Reversible Pulpitis to Irreversible Pulpitis

Journal of Endodontics, 2019
This study examined the identity of the microbiome of deep dentinal caries and its correlation with the inflammation status of caries-induced pulpitis.Seventy-five cases were diagnosed based on the American Association of Endodontics's diagnostic criteria and divided into 4 groups: normal pulp with deep caries (NP; n = 13), reversible pulpitis with ...

Does bidirectional splinting improve outcomes in cracked teeth with reversible pulpitis?

Evidence-Based Dentistry, 2021
Aim To investigate the success rate of 'bidirectional' splinting - both internal and external - of teeth with longitudinal cracks and reversible pulpitis, as well as to identify any signs or symptoms that could give a prognostic indication of success.Design Cohort study.Cohort selection Thirty-four teeth from 33 patients visiting the Department of ...
