Revocations - A classification

Proceedings. 14th IEEE Computer Security Foundations Workshop, 2001., 2001
In an ownership-based framework for access control, with the possibility of granting access and administrative rights, chains of granted accesses will form. This is a comprehensive study of the problem of revoking such rights, and on the impact different revocation schemes may have on the chains.

Revocation

2022
Abstract This chapter examines revocation as a reason for removing a mark from the register and the grounds for revocation as set out in section 46 of the Trade Marks Act 1994. It begins by discussing the first ground on which a mark may be revoked: ‘non-use’ (the trade mark has not been used for five years following the date of ...

Revocable Anonymity

2006
Anonymity services in the EU may be forced by the new EU data retention directive to collect connection data and deanonymise some of their users in case of serious crimes. For this purpose, we propose a new privacy-friendly solution for incorporating revocation in an anonymous communication system.

Instant Revocation

2008
PKI has a history of very poor support for revocation. It is both too expensive and too coarse grained, so that private keys which are compromised or otherwise become invalid remain in use long after they should have been revoked. This paper considers Instant Revocation, or revocations which take place within a second or two. A new revocation scheme,

Administrative Revocation: License Suspension and Revocation

1986
A driver license is a privilege, and motorists are expected to drive safely. When a state has evidence that a driver has committed a hazardous or dangerous act - such as driving while intoxicated - it has the authority and responsibility to revoke the license to drive.

Revocable Ring Signature

Journal of Computer Science and Technology, 2007
Group signature allows the anonymity of a real signer in a group to be revoked by a trusted party called group manager. It also gives the group manager the absolute power of controlling the formation of the group. Ring signature, on the other hand, does not allow anyone to revoke the signer anonymity, while allowing the real signer to form a group ...

Generalized certificate revocation

Proceedings of the 27th ACM SIGPLAN-SIGACT symposium on Principles of programming languages, 2000
We introduce a language for creating and manipulating certificates, that is, digitally signed data based on public key cryptography, and a system for revoking certificates. Our approach provides a uniform mechanism for secure distribution of public key bindings, authorizations, and revocation information.

EPID with Malicious Revocation

2021
EPID systems are anonymous authentication protocols where a device can be revoked by including one of its signatures in a revocation list. Such protocols are today included in the ISO/IEC 20008-2 standard and are embedded in billions of chips, which make them a flagship of advanced cryptographic tools.
