Tourism, Well‐Being, and Sustainability: Trends, Impacts, and Perspectives

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Research on sustainable tourism, tourists, and well‐being has key implications for tourism policies, which must align with the SDGs to enhance the well‐being of visitors and local communities. This paper analyzes the evolution of scientific production through a systematic literature review over the last 25 years.

Linking Loops: How Digital Platforms Orchestrate Circular Economy Networks

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how digital platforms can drive the transition to a circular economy by developing multi‐stakeholder collaboration and fostering innovation. Using the Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ICESP) as case study, it explores the mechanisms through which digital infrastructures orchestrate knowledge flows ...

Ligand‐Driven Optimization of Iron Oxide Nanoprobes for In Vivo MRI Enhancement at Ultra‐High Field

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Ligand‐tailored iron oxide nanoparticles reveal how surface chemistry controls T2 relaxivity and in vivo performance in ultra‐high‐field MRI. Systematic variation of hydrophilicity and charge across five coatings modulated r2 by up to 333 mm−1 s−1, with chemical properties, rather than shell thickness, dictating magnetic dephasing and enabling reliable

A Femininomenon: Leadership Development Through Representation On‐Screen

open access: yesNew Directions for Student Leadership, Volume 2025, Issue 185, Page 67-74, Spring 2025.

Facilitating macrosystem biology with organismal‐scale airborne remote sensing: Challenges and opportunities

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Emergent ecosystem properties, such as population and trait distributions, biodiversity and energy and water fluxes, occur because of the dynamic interactions of individuals in their environment.

Climate‐induced shifts in long‐term tropical tree reproductive phenology: Insights from species dependent on and independent of biotic pollination

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract The dependence on biotic pollination may constrain plant phenological responses because flowering time ultimately defines reproductive success. We proposed a local‐scale study combining long‐term phenology and experimental data to evaluate how a key functional trait—the

Record phenological responses to climate change in three sympatric penguin species

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
This paper is impressive because we managed to monitor extensively a really difficult place to reach and operate in. We deployed 77 cameras across Antarctica and the Sub Antarctic islands to monitor three different species of penguins. We found that they are the fastest advancing vertebrates with respect to their timing of breeding.
