Exploring the genetic diversity of the IPK Medicago germplasm collection using GBS

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 345-358, March 2026.
Genotyping‐by‐sequencing of 1234 accessions from the Medicago collection of the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) revealed broad genetic diversity across 40 species, providing one of the first genus‐wide insights into relationships between both cultivated and wild species of Medicago.

Population Structure of Phytophthora infestans in Poland Is Affected by Sexual Recombination and Transport of Infected Potato Seed Tubers

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 2, March–April 2026.
In total, 858 Phytophthora infestans isolates were collected from 2016 to 2018, 2020 and 2021 from 10 locations in different regions of Poland. Almost 24% of the isolates were classified to five known European genotypes: EU13, EU34, EU41, EU36 and EU37, whereas 75% of the population was genotypically and phenotypically diverse.

Association of combined −344T/C and K173R polymorphisms in aldosterone synthase gene with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Moroccan population

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Internal Medicine
Background: Aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) is crucial for aldosterone production, and variations in its gene may influence type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) development. This study explores the link between two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the

Association Between Solid Organ Transplantation and Oral Candidiasis: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesSpecial Care in Dentistry, Volume 46, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To summarize the evidence on the association of oral candidiasis with solid organ transplantation in case‐control and cohort studies. Methods The quality of studies was assessed using the Newcastle–Ottawa scale. Random‐effects restricted maximum likelihood model or Fixed‐effects Mantel–Haenszel models were used to pool the results ...
