Historical Records of Tumours in New Zealand Marine Fishes

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Marine and Freshwater Research, Volume 60, Issue 2, June 2026.
Tumours were first described in New Zealand marine fishes in 1982 but those early records have been difficult to access and subsequently few tumours have been collected and little has been published. This review updates records of identified tumours from teleosts in the New Zealand marine environment and may encourage more work to identify background ...

Primary renal embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in adults: a case report and review of the literature. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Adult renal rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare subtype of renal sarcoma. We present a case of a renal mass treated with radical nephrectomy that subsequently was shown to be renal rhabdomyosarcoma.

Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma of Upper Lid in 15-Year-Old Patient

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmological Medicine, 2014
Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common childhood primary malignant tumor of orbit. Most of patients present between the ages of 7 and 8 years. Pure eyelid rhabdomyosarcoma is a very rare tumor with only a few reported cases in the literature. We introduce a

Clinical Course and Impact of Breaks in Therapy for Children With Relapsed/Refractory Solid Tumors

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pediatric relapsed or refractory (R/R) solid tumors carry a dismal prognosis, and postrelapse patient experiences are not well described. We present postrelapse outcomes, including number of R/R events and subsequent therapy regimens.

A rare case of metastatic prostatic rhabdomyosarcoma in a young adult: Clinical challenges and therapeutic perspectives

open access: yesUrology Case Reports
Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the prostate in adults is rare and often diagnosed at an advanced stage, with metastases. We report the case of a 23-year-old young adult presenting with low back pain and dysuria, whose imaging revealed a voluminous ...

Intracardiac Extension of Lung Carcinoma Presenting as an Atrial Myxoma: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Left atrial (LA) mass is most commonly presumed to be a cardiac myxoma, as it is approximately 75% of primary cardiac tumors, with a strong predilection for the LA. In rare instances, primary lung carcinoma may extend to the LA, creating an intracardiac mass indistinguishable from a myxoma on initial echocardiographic assessment.

open access: yes, 2015
This report describes a spontaneously arising rhabdomyosarcoma of soft tissues in a brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). The lesion was examined by means of histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Antitumor Activity of Sodium Selenite, Palbociclib, and Disulfiram Against Osteosarcoma and Rhabdomyosarcoma Cell Lines

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 87, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Osteosarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma are the most common pediatric sarcomas, yet prognosis remains poor due to high relapse rates. This study investigates the repurposing of palbociclib (PB) and disulfiram (DS), alongside sodium selenite (SS), as potential therapeutic strategies.

Oral rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare malignant tumor mimicking an endodontic-periodontal lesion in an adult patient: a case report

open access: yesBMC Oral Health
Background According to previous research, 2.8% of lesions clinically identified as endodontic pathosis were ultimately diagnosed as non-endodontic periapical lesions via histopathology, and 3.7% of these non-endodontic periapical lesions were malignant ...

Gamma‐irradiated Newcastle disease virus: an alternative inactivated oncolytic virotherapy

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, Volume 104, Issue 5, Page 473-484, May‐June 2026.
To overcome biological risks associated with using live NDV as an oncolytic therapy, we developed gamma‐NDV as a safer alternative. Using a murine model for skin cancer, we show that intratumor administration of gamma‐NDV outperformed live‐NDV in terms of reducing tumor growth and improving overall animal survival. Abstract Newcastle disease virus (NDV)
