Controlled Release of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes from Hydrogels Attenuates Temporomandibular Joint Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Exosomes can reduce tissue damage in temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA), but rapid clearance limits their efficacy. This study encapsulates exosomes in hyaluronic acid hydrogels for controlled release. In a rat model, hydrogel‐encapsulated exosomes outperform free exosomes in preserving bone integrity and reducing tissue destruction ...

Bioprinted Micro‐Clots for Kinetic Analysis of Endothelial Cell‐Mediated Fibrinolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
This paper describes the development of a microscale model that quantifies the breakdown of fibrin by endothelial cells. The small size scale of this engineered system enables fibrin breakdown to be observed without the addition of external activators. This system could help in identifying compounds which both promote and hinder thrombosis.

Glucocorticoids Alter Bone Microvascular Barrier via MAPK/Connexin43 Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
Osteoporosis induced by Glucocorticoids (GCs) is a common complication of long‐term GC use in patients with inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, often leading to an increased fracture risk. A 3D bicellular endo‐osteo microfluidic platform is developed to explore pathogenic mechanisms underlying GCs‐induced osteoporosis, highlighting a novel MAPK ...

Clinical characteristics of three cohorts of early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with late onset (50 years and older). Summary of 40 years experience with the inclusion of a cohort from the Russian Register of Patients with RA "OREL"

open access: yesНаучно-практическая ревматология, 2018
The article presents 3 cohorts with early rheumatoid arthritis in patients aged 50 years and older with a disease duration from 1.5 months to 1 year. To establish a diagnosis, the classification criteria of its period were applied to each of the cohorts:
