Solution structures of human immunoglobulins IgG and IgM and rheumatoid factor IgM-RF
Crystallography Reports, 2003The low-resolution structures of human immunoglobulins M (IgM) and G (IgG) and the rheumatoid factor (IgM-RF) in solution were determined from synchrotron-radiation small-angle X-ray scattering by the method of dummy atom modeling (bead models). The structural models of IgM determined on the assumption that the molecule has a fivefold symmetry axis are

Prevalence of IgE rheumatoid factor (IgE RF) in mixed cryoglobulinemia and rheumatoid arthritis.
Clinical and experimental rheumatology, 1987IgE RF was measured by ELISA assay using aggregated IgG as a solid phase immunosorbent and alkaline phosphatase-conjugated Fc epsilon-specific monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies as indicators. The presence of IgE RF was defined in this assay as binding of the conjugate greater than 2.33 SD above the mean for control sera (N = 27).

Soluble Immune Complexes (SIC), Rheumatoid Factor (RF) and Autoantibodies in Leprosy Patients' Sera
1985Abstract The 125 I-Clq-binding test (Clq-BT) and 125 I-Clq-deviation test (Clq-DT) were applied initially to evaluate the presence of soluble immune complexes (SIC) in sera from leprosy patients with varied pathological spectrum e.g. lepromatous (LL), tuberculoid (TT), borderline lepromatous (BL), borderline tuberculoid (BT) and true borderline (BB)

Antiimmunoglobulins of rheumatoid factor (RF) type in prediction of melanoma patients.
Neoplasma, 1987It was found out the titer of antiimmunoglobulins of the rheumatoid factor (RF) type in the sera of melanoma patients can be used in prediction of the development of the patients' status. High titers of antiimmunoglobulins of the RF type, determined by the latex-fixation test (LFT), indicate an unfavorable prognosis in patients with clinical ...

Twenty human monoclonal antibodies with rheumatoid factor (RF) specificity were produced from fusions using B lymphocytes derived from the synovial tissue of two patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and one with the polyarticular form of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) (1). All the 20 monoclonal antibodies were IgM.

The subject of this paper is a 5-year follow-up of 50 women found with Rose-Waaler Titre greater than or equal 1 : 10 or with a Acryl Fixation Titre greater than or equal 1 : 10 in a general health survey conducted in the Reykjavik area in 1968-1969. The average annual incidence of RA was 2.3 percent. Of four women who died during the follow-up period,
