Coherent Photoproduction of Low-pT Charmonium in Peripheral Heavy Ion Collisions within the Color Dipole Model

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2022
We calculate the centrality dependence for coherent photoproduction of very low-pTJ/ψ at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies within the impact parameter-dependent saturated color dipole model.

Production of Dileptons in Ultraperipheral Heavy-Ion Collisions With Two-Photon Processes

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics
We study the photoproduction process of dileptons in heavy-ion collision at relativistic heavy-ion collider (RHIC) and large hadron collider (LHC) energies.

Antinucleus production at RHIC [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2002
Light antinuclei may be formed in relativistic heavy ion collisions via final state coalescence of antinucleons. The yields of antinuclei are sensitive to primordial antinucleon production, the volume of the system at kinetic freeze-out, and space-momentum correlations among antinucleons at freeze-out.

The PHENIX experiment at RHIC [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 1998
The physics emphases of the PHENIX collaboration and the design and current status of the PHENIX detector are discussed. The plan of the collaboration for making the most effective use of the available luminosity in the first years of RHIC operation is also presented.

Transverse dynamics at RHIC [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2003
Studies of , transverse momentum spectra and anisotropy flow from nuclear collisions at RHIC indicate early thermalization and strong collective expansion. We propose a systematic study of the anisotropy parameter $v_2$ and the transverse momentum distributions of $ϕ, Ω, D^0, Λ_C$ and $J / ψ$ in order to extract information on partonic collective flow.

Probabilistic Neural Computing with Stochastic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 35, Issue 37, September 14, 2023., 2023
Modern computing assumes that materials, devices, and circuits will be operated in a fully deterministic manner, providing predictable and reliable outputs, with any desired random behavior re‐introduced in software. This perspective describes how the integration of tunable stochastic devices into neuromorphic computing architectures can allow future ...

A systematic review of natural flood management modelling: Approaches, limitations, and potential solutions

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 16, Issue 3, September 2023., 2023
Abstract The Pitt Review of the 2007 summer floods in the UK, published in 2008, commended the potential of natural flood management (NFM) for reducing flood risk. NFM is a nature‐based approach that has since gained substantial interest from both practitioners and academics. The review further highlighted the need for catchment‐based flood management (
