Assessment of Apple Blotch (Diplocarpon coronariae) Symptom Progression on Malus × domestica Leaves
ABSTRACT Apple blotch is a fungal disease of increasing importance in European apple cultivation. Infection by Diplocarpon coronariae leads to premature leaf abscission in summer, weakening tree vigour and exacerbating harvest losses. Developing resistant cultivars represents a promising preventive strategy.

Abstract Abscisic acid (ABA) is a key phytohormone in plant responses to water deficit. Although there is extensive evidence that roots can synthesise ABA, recent findings suggest that local synthesis in response to dehydration contributes little to the root ABA pool compared to shoot‐sourced ABA.

The legacy of past droughts induces water‐sparingly behaviour in Grüner Veltliner grapevines
Grapevines with a drought history showed increased water use efficiency in a non‐water‐limited season, in coordination with morpho‐anatomical modifications of leaf, xylem anatomy and stomata, suggesting significant drought legacies. Abstract Drought is becoming more frequent and severe in numerous wine‐growing regions.

Benzamides boost crop resilience by inhibiting poly(ADP‐ribose) polymerase (PARP) to enhance stress tolerance and, through their antimicrobial, herbicidal, and insecticidal derivatives, they offer broad protection for sustainable crop improvement. Abstract Benzamides have emerged as potent stress inhibitors and growth promoters in plant biotechnology ...
