Production of saccharogenic and dextrinogenic amylases by Rhizomucor pusillus A 13.36

open access: yes, 2005
A newly-isolated thermophilic strain of the zygomycete fungus Rhizomucor pusillus 13.36 produced highly active dextrinogenic and saccharogenic enzymes. Cassava pulp was a good alternative substrate for amylase production.

Exploring natural antimicrobial properties: cell-free culture filtrates of Aspergillus niger and Rhizomucor pusillus

open access: yes
Fungi are rich sources of medicinal bioactive metabolites. The fungi used in this study were identified as Rhizomucor pusillus and Aspergillus niger through multilocus gene sequencing. HPLC was used to analyze the cell-free culture filtrate (CFCF) of the

Characterization and gene cloning of l-xylulose reductase involved in l-arabinose catabolism from the pentose-fermenting fungus Rhizomucor pusillus

open access: yes, 2017
l-Xylulose reductase (LXR) catalyzes the reduction of l-xylulose to xylitol in the fungal l-arabinose catabolic pathway. LXR (RpLXR) was purified from the pentose-fermenting zygomycetous fungus Rhizomucor pusillus NBRC 4578.
