A conclusive demonstration of vibrational pumping and determination of SERS cross sections [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
We provide conclusive demonstration of vibrational pumping under Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) conditions by performing anti-Stokes/Stokes ratio measurements down to 10 K using dried silver colloids, the dye rhodamine 6G and 676 nm laser excitation.

Strong coupling of localized plasmons and molecular excitons in nanostructured silver films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We report on the resonant coupling between localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) in nanostructured Ag films, and an adsorbed monolayer of Rhodamine 6G dye. Hybridization of the plasmons and molecular excitons creates new coupled polaritonic modes, which have been tuned by varying the LSPR wavelength.

Enhancement and suppression of surface plasmon resonance in Ag aggregate by optical gain and absorption in surrounding dielectric medium [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
We have observed the compensation of loss in metal by gain in interfacing dielectric in the mixture of aggregated silver nanoparticles and rhodamine 6G dye. The demonstrated six-fold enhancement of the Rayleigh scattering is the evidence of the increase of the quality factor of the surface plasmon (SP) resonance.

Surface-Enhanced Resonance Raman Scattering of Rhodamine 6G in Dispersions and on Films of Confeito-Like Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) of rhodamine 6G was measured on confeito-like Au nanoparticles (CAuNPs). The large CAuNPs (100 nm in diameter) in aqueous dispersion systems showed stronger enhancing effect (analytical enhancement ...

Integrated Surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy chip based on liquid core waveguide [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We propose an integrated surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) chip based on liquid-core waveguide with total reflection, through which the depression of leaky mode enable a long propagating distance. An Raman enhancement factor for rhodamine 6G of 2.5*105 is obtained, and a excellent repeatability is shown.

Determination of iron in chinese herbal medicine based on the fluorescence quenching of rhodamine 6G

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2009
A fluorescence quenching method was developed for determination of Fe3+ with rhodamine 6G as fluorescent reagent. Fe3+ reacting with KI in diluted sulfuric acid produced I3- anion which reacted subsequently with rhodamine 6G to form a non-fluorescence ...

Hydrazide–pillar[5]arene-mediated silver nanoparticles for highly efficient reductive degradation of organic dyes

open access: yesSupramolecular Materials, 2023
A new supramolecular approach toward the reductive degradation of organic dyes by hybridizing hydrophilic hydrazide-pillar[5]arene (HP5A) as surface-modifiers with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has been demonstrated.

Synthesis and Characterization of Elongated-Shaped Silver Nanoparticles as a Biocompatible Anisotropic SERS Probe for Intracellular Imaging: Theoretical Modeling and Experimental Verification

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
Progress in the field of biocompatible SERS nanoparticles has promising prospects for biomedical applications. In this work, we have developed a biocompatible Raman probe by combining anisotropic silver nanoparticles with the dye rhodamine 6G followed by
