Assessing grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) diet in western Scotland [PDF]
Grey seal diet was last comprehensively studied in western Scotland in 1985. Since then, the grey seal population has increased by approximately 30% and relative abundance of fish stocks in the area has changed markedly.

Ribbon-Burner Simulation of T-700 Turbine Shroud for Ceramic-Lined Seals Research [PDF]
Experimental and analytical studies were conducted to determine the acceptability of a ribbon-burner simulation of engine conditions for testing ceramic-lined turbine tip shrouds. The calculated values reveal that the ribbon burner establishes at least as harsh a thermal environment as is present at any time within the turbine shroud.

Fabrication Routes for Ionic Conducting Fiber Strain Sensors
Ionic conducting fiber strain sensors (ICFSs) offer compliant, textile‐integrable sensing. Thus far, the commercialization of ICFSs has been constrained by fiber fabrication routes. This review provides a fabrication‐centric analysis of ICFSs correlating processing strategies with material properties and scalability.

Veblenite, K2_2Na(Fe2+5 Fe3+4 Mn2+7_)Nb3Ti(Si2O7)2 (Si8O22)2O6(OH)10(H2O)3, a new mineral from Seal Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador: mineral description, crystal structure, and a new veblenite (Si8O22) ribbon [PDF]
Veblenite, ideally K2_2Na(Fe2+5 Fe3+4 Mn2+7 _)Nb3Ti(Si2O7)2(Si8O22)2O6(OH)10(H2O)3, is a new mineral with no natural or synthetic analogues. The mineral occurs at Ten Mile Lake, Seal Lake area, Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada), in a band of paragneiss consisting chiefly of albite and arfvedsonite. Veblenite occurs as red brown single laths and fibres
