The influence of Rice Husk Fiber on The Properties of Epoxidized Natural Rubber/Rice Husk Compounds [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
In this work, curing characteristics, tensile and physical properties of epoxidized natural rubber/rice husk (ENR-50/RH) compounds were investigated. Different RH loading (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 Phr) and size (fine size at 100-300 μm and coarse size at 5-10 mm) were prepared and used.

Rice Husk In Indonesia

open access: yesJurnal Kimia dan Kemasan, 2011
The paddy production in Indonesia should contain rice husk 20 - 25 %. bran 10 - 12 %, and rice 63 - 70 %. Rice husk usually burned to ash used as abrasive purposes for household application, and also rice husk used for burning bricks. In this case we are facing the secondary waste product which is rich in Si02 content, the ash from burning the rice ...

Second‐Generation Polyhydroxybutyrate Production From Pretreated Corn Lignocellulosic Fraction as a Strategy to Repurpose by Products From the Corn‐Processing Chain

open access: yesBiotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lignocellulosic residues are non‐cost, non‐edible, renewable feedstocks that can be used in polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) production. PHB is a bioplastic synthetized by microorganisms, formed intracellularly under stressful growth conditions; however, its production costs are high, representing the major drawback for fossil‐based plastics ...

Effects of Rice Husk and Rice Husk Charcoal on Soil Physicochemical Properties, Rice Growth and Yield

open access: yesAgricultural Sciences, 2017
To investigate the effect of the application of rice husk (RH) and rice husk charcoal (RHC) on soil properties and rice production, pot experiment comprising of five treatments was conducted. Soil was mixed at the rate of 0 (control), 2% and 4% (w/w) with RH and RHC, respectively with randomized complete block design (RCBD).
