In this work, the sharp focusing of a laser beam whose initial polarization pattern is formed by superposition of a cylindrical mth-order vector beam and a homogeneous linearly polarized beam is considered theoretically and numerically.

A spirally rotating backward flow of light [PDF]
Using Richards-Wolf formulas, we show that when a left-hand circularly polarized optical vortex with the topological charge 3 is sharply focused in an aplanatic system, a backward near-axis energy flow is observed in the focal plane.

Beams with the transverse-only intensity at the focus
In this work, sharp focusing of vector beams with azimuthal polarization and beams with V-line of polarization uncertainty is simulated numerically using the Richards-Wolf formulas.

Helicity of Poincaré beams at the sharp focus
In this study, helicity of Poincaré beams was considered from the point of view of the Richards-Wolf formalism. It was shown that helicity for Poincaré beams always has radial symmetry and does not depend on the azimuthal angle of the beam.

The feasibility of using RNA interference to control the globally important quarantine pest, the spongy moth. Targeting genes related to JHs play an important role in the growth and development of insects. First, the open reading frames (ORFs) of Ldjhamt and Ldjheh were identified and characterized, and the target genes were cloned and double‐stranded ...

ABSTRACT This study explored the lived experiences of African Australian consumers and their perspectives on the role of spirituality, religion and culture in shaping mental health and engagement with mental health services. A qualitative phenomenological design informed by transcultural nursing perspectives was used.

Background Credible long‐term outcomes from randomized trials evaluating the effectiveness and cost‐effectiveness of preventive programs for mental health problems are needed. We compared long‐term effects of the Mind My Mind (MMM) transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program to management as usual (MAU). Methods The study was a pragmatic,

Vector analysis of the interference of paired coplanar beams with linear or circular polarization
In this work, using a focusing formalism based on Richards–Wolf theory, the multi-beam interference of two and four light beams with linear or circular polarization with different orthogonality and orientation of the polarization vector is numerically ...

Enantioselective Separation and Negative Transport of Chiral Particles via Optical Needle Fields
This work proposes an all‐optical strategy that leverages a tailored optical needle field for the enantioselective separation and 3D manipulation of chiral particles. By introducing phase modulation, we engineer a dual‐needle configuration capable of spatially separating and negatively transporting both enantiomers within a single system, offering a ...
